The Testing and Admission Office (TAO) helps the University in providing quality excellent,relevant and responsive education. It is in this mandate that the office provides effective testing and admissionservices designed to support and promote the university’s vision and mission of academic excellence.
The TAO assists students in the discovery, exploration and unveiling of their potentials and makeuse of such towards holistic, quality and competent based education in all levels and discipline.
The Testing and Admission Office (TAO) provides effective testing and admission services designed to support and promote the university’s vision and mission of academic excellence. The office provides the following services to students, teachers and non-academic personnel:
A. Information Services
To advertise to the public, the college programs, courses offered, schedule of admission as well as the other services, TAO disseminates information and answers queries regarding testing and admission. It provides a list of requirements and contact details and oral instruction about the step-by-step procedure and requirements. Also, it provides on-line services to clients.
B. Testing Services
To assess the aptitude of incoming student applicants including Pre-Elementary, Elementary, Junior High School, College and Graduate School, TAO administers standardized admission tests appropriate for their academic level. Second year General Engineering and Business Administration students who will be categorized according to their major or specialization also take classification tests administered by TAO. The office also administers psychological tests to individuals referred by guidance counselor or teachers.
C. Admission Services
TAO disseminates and evaluates submitted application form and checks the requirements of applicants. It screens out student applicants who are not qualified and releases notice of passing and admission slip to qualified student applicants.
Under the supervision of the Director for Office of Student Affairs and Services, the Assistant Director for Testing and Admission shall be responsible for planning, directing, and administering the testing and admission programs in all ten campuses of the University.
Head / Coordinator / Officer-In-Charge per Campus
Under the supervision of the Director for OSAS, and Assistant Director of TAO, the Head/ Coordinator/ In-Charge for Testing and Admission shall be responsible for assisting the Director and Assistant Director in planning, directing, and administering the testing and admission program of the campus.
Under the supervision of the Director for OSAS, and Assistant Director of TAO, the Psychometrician constructs and validates tests, prepares reports and documents pertaining to the activities of TAO. The Psychometrician assists the students in the administration, checking, scoring and interpretation of tests. The Psychometrician also administering, checking and interpreting psychological tests and preparing psychological reports of employee and student applicants.
Under the supervision of the Director for OSAS, and Assistant Director of TAO, the Testing Technicians assists the Psychometrician it constructing and validating tests, administering, checking and interpreting psychological tests and preparing psychological reports of employee and student applicants. The Testing Technician also accepts applications for entrance examination and schedules examination of student applicants in all levels.
Administrative Aide III
Under the supervision of the Director for OSAS, and Assistant Director of TAO, the Administrative Aide III caters clientele needs by providing frontline services and answering basic questions, disseminates information pertaining to the services offered by TAO and performs other duties as assigned.
